William Thompson

William was born on October 29th, 1809 in Louisianna.¹ William's father was William Pharoah Thompson and his mother was Nancy Ward. His paternal grandparents were Balaam Thompson and Olive Melton. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Terrell, Balaam, James, Maria, Hannah and Rebecca Jane. He is the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Christian.
