James Thompson

James was born on February 22nd, 1812 in Louisianna.¹ James' father was William Pharoah Thompson and his mother was Nancy Ward. His paternal grandparents were Balaam Thompson and Olive Melton. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Terrell, Balaam, William, Maria, Hannah and Rebecca Jane. He is the second youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Christian.
