Charles Goodlae was born on February 4th, 1917.1 Charles Goodlae's father was Joseph Lynch Straley and his mother was Ashley Jane Gooch. His paternal grandparents were David Crockett Straley and Sarah Anne Elizabeth. He had a brother named Joseph Augustus. He is the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William Edward Crockett, Bessie Hazeldell Mitchell, Katie May Lucille Jackson, ? and Daisy Edgar Margaret Weatherly.-
