Walter French Smith

Walter French was born on November 2nd, 1882 in Ranger, Cabell Co, Virginia.¹ Walter French's father was David French Smith and his mother was Amanda E. Gibson. His paternal grandparents were William Claudis Smith and Sarah Anna Hatfield. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Ulysis G, William C, Oskar French, Maurice W, Robert Clifton, Morris B, Olive Frances and Georgia E. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 52 on September 26th, 1935.¹
