John William Wilson Meadows 
John William Wilson was born in March 1840 in Mercer Co., Virginia.1 John William Wilson's father was Adam H. Meadows and his mother was Sarah Dick. His paternal grandparents are Jacob Meadows and MARY ARRINGTON. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Josephus, Brightwell Garfield, Henry C., Jacob R. A., Elizabeth, Sarah A., Nancy Jane, Mary Ann Catherine, Christiana and Susan G.. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 on January 1st, 1910 in Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 General Notes

The first settlers formed hunting parties. On one of these hunts, John Meadows was placed on Trickling Branch near where the Hebron School now stands. He was to wait for the hounds to chase the deer out. He did not wait long, he saw a deer coming up the branch, his gun fell to the ground, with a single bound he was astride the deer's back and went at a rapid speed with limbs, twigs and briers scratching his face. He grabbed rocks from the banks while passing and beat the deer down with them.

William Henry was born on March 23rd, 1875.1 He died at the age of 58 on January 1st, 1934.1
Evaliener R. Meadows
Evaliener R. was born on April 10th, 1877.1 She died at the age of 5 on August 22nd, 1882.1
Hiram B. Meadows
Hiram B. was born on March 10th, 1879.1 He died at the age of 71 in 1950 in Willowton West Virginia. He was buried in Willowton Cemetery, Mercer County, West Virginia.1 1
