Samuel S. was born in 1807 in Clarke Co., Georgia.1 Samuel S.'s father was Hurd and his mother was Heard. His paternal grandfather was STEPHEN Heard and his paternal grandmother is MARY Faulkner. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Stephen, Francis S., Hurd, Thomas W., No. 268, No. 270, Nancy and Purmely. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John S., GEORGE, Polly F., No. 273, No. 267 and Lucea "Luck". He died in Mississippi.1 General Notes
