Giles Preston French 
Giles Preston was born on October 4th, 1835 in Giles Co, Virginia. Giles Preston's father was Isaac French and his mother is Rhoda Day. His paternal grandparents were Isaac M. French and Elizabeth Stowers. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William Henderson, Joshua Green, Andrew Jackson, Rufus, Isaac E., John Day, Eliza, Martha and Mary Octavia. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 92 on February 17th, 1928 in Giles Co, Virginia. He was buried in French-Clark Cemetery, Bland County, Virginia.-
