George Mitchell Dean 
George Mitchell was born on October 20th, 1864 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.1 George Mitchell's father was William Franklin Dean and his mother was Francis E. Meadows. His maternal grandparents were Thomas W. Meadows and Elizabeth Breeding. He had fourteen brothers and eight sisters, named Thomas Lindsay, Emanuel Whitfield, James, Solomon, William, Stephen, John, William Franklin, Hiram Stephen, Thornton, Joshua Bishop, Wesley Amos, Bruce Wysong, Quinter, Melvyne Ardimis, Ardenia Frances, Clarinda C., Sidney Ann, Ardista Luraine, Armenta Belle, Eliza Elizabeth and Myriam Arbella. He was the eleventh youngest of the twenty-three children. He died at the age of 67 on April 10th, 1932.1 -
