Sosthene Alexandre Couvillon 
Sosthene Alexandre was born on March 10th, 1848 in Te Bordeaux, Cottonport, Avoyelles Parish.1 Sosthene Alexandre's father was Sosthene Alexander Couvillon and his mother was Emelia Mayeaux. His paternal grandparents were PIERRE Couvillon and *BRIGETTE Mayeux; his maternal grandparents were ANTOINE Mayeux and ROSALIE Broyard Barre. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Severe, Edgard, Ovide Omer, Clementine, Evelina, Luce and Celinie. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 32 on March 4th, 1881 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. He was buried in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Paucheville, Louisiana.1 1 General Notes

The church at Choupique was founded by Father Paul Emile Simon. It w as a mission chapel until 1872 when it became Parish of the Assumpti on of Avoyelles at Choupique. In 1875 the church was moved to Couvillionv ille. In 1897, the Parish was moved to Plaucheville, where it remains to day.

The 1870 Census shows this couple living next door to Irma's parents. Th ey had one child at home.
