Cleo Cephronia "Fronie" was born on December 6th, 1879 in Bedford Co.,Virgnia. Cleo Cephronia "Fronie"'s father was John Anthony Thaxton and her mother was Mildred Frances Board. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Thaxton and Sophia Rucker. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John W. H., Robert Clinton, Francis, Maggie F. and Lizzie Sophia. She was the third oldest of the six children.
