William SUTHERLAND

William was born about 1784 in Thurs, Cthness, Scot and his baptism took place on May 28th, 1779 in Thurso, Cthnss, Scotland. William's father is John SUTHERLAND and his mother is Christian HILL. His paternal grandparents are Hector SUTHERLAND and Barbara RIESS; his maternal grandparents are James HILL and Margaret FINLAYSON. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named James, Sinclair, Donald, Nicholson, Couper, Hector, Robert, John, (2) Isabella, Couper and Marrion. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died after 1845 in Of Thurso, Caithness-Shire, Scotland.
