Nicholson SUTHERLAND

Nicholson was born in 1790 in Thurdystaff, Caithness, Scot and his baptism took place on June 17th, 1790 in Thurdistoft, Thurso, Caithness-Shire, Scotland. Nicholson's father is John SUTHERLAND and his mother is Christian HILL. His paternal grandparents are Hector SUTHERLAND and Barbara RIESS; his maternal grandparents are James HILL and Margaret FINLAYSON. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named James, William, Sinclair, Donald, Couper, Hector, Robert, John, (2) Isabella, Couper and Marrion. He is the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
