Robert SCALES 
Robert was born on December 29th, 1781 in Henry Co., Va. Robert's father was Joseph F. SCALES and his mother was Ann Hardin PERKINS. His paternal grandparents were Joseph SCALES and Mary (UNKNOWN); his maternal grandfather was Nicholas III PERKINS and his maternal grandmother is Bethenia HARDING. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas Perkins, Joseph Henry, Constantine Perkins, Peter Perkins, Mary ("Polly"), Bethania, Susannah, Anne Hardin and Elizabeth Letcher. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 in 1852 in Davidson Co., Tn.General Notes
