Mary ("Polly") SCALES 
Mary ("Polly") was born on April 19th, 1772 in Henry Co., Va. Mary ("Polly")'s father was Joseph F. SCALES and her mother was Ann Hardin PERKINS. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph SCALES and Mary (UNKNOWN); her maternal grandfather was Nicholas III PERKINS and her maternal grandmother is Bethenia HARDING. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Nicholas Perkins, Joseph Henry, Robert, Constantine Perkins, Peter Perkins, Bethania, Susannah, Anne Hardin and Elizabeth Letcher. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 31 in August 1803 in Rogersville, Tn.General Notes
