James John Nickelson 
James John was born on August 7th, 1838 in Ga. James John's father was Nathaniel Nunn NICHOLSON and his mother was Martha Jane John. His paternal grandparents were John Candor Nickelson and Frances Fanny Nunn. He had eight brothers named Martin Luther, William Jefferson, Leroy I, Daniel Melson, Nathan, Samuel Pratt, Martha and Calvin. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Ira Britt, Mary Ida, Mary Ida and Sallie. He died about 1889.General Notes

Enlisted as a private in Co. B, 29th Battn. Ga. Cavalry September
1863. Surrendered, Tallahassee, Fla. May 10, 1865. Paroled at
Albany, Ga. May 17,1865.
