Joseph was born about 1739. Joseph's father was Culbert\Cuthbert Nickelson and his mother was Jennet Candor. He had two brothers named George and John. He was the youngest of the three children. He died before May 20th, 1826 in Greene Co GA.General Notes

Jan 1782: Ordered that Jos. Nicholson be allowed the sum of 675 dollarsfor a room & firewood during the sitting of the court and that the CountyTrustee pay the same. (in other words the court met at the ordinary ofJoseph Nicholson.)
