Candace was born on December 12th, 1800 in Nashville, Davidson, TN. Candace's father was Isaac Preston Midkiff and her mother was Susannah HOWELL. Her paternal grandfather was Isaiah MIDKIFF and her paternal grandmother is Mary Kimble; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Henry HOWELL and Elizabeth BROOKS. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Isaac Jefferson, John M., Margaret, Emily and Pleasant D.. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 47 on November 21st, 1848 in Douglas, Cherokee, TX.General Notes
