Peter Ellis BEAN 
Peter Ellis was born on June 8th, 1783 in , Grainger, Tenn. Peter Ellis' father was William II BEAN and his mother is Elizabeth Shaw BLAIR. His paternal grandparents were William BEENE and Naomi BATES. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Robert, Edmond, Fetney and Lydia. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 63 on October 3rd, 1846 in Jalapa, , Mexico.General Notes

Peter Bean was from TN, went to MS and then on to TX on an expedition to capture wild mustangs with Phillip Nolan and Bean was captured, taken prisoner by the Spainards down into Mexico for 10 years and repeatedly tried to escape. In 1811 when revolution errupted, Ellis quickly escaped and joined the Mexican forces and helped them win their independence from Mexico as his family was in the gunsmithing business and he knew how to make gun powder. He married a lady in Mexico, then also married later Candace Midkiff and they came to TX while it was still a province of Mexico. He was then a Colonel in the Mexican army. When the TX revolution came about, yikes, Bean sent a letter to Santa Anna to "come put down this rebellion." Other family members who were in TX joined the TX revolution and helped TX win its independence. Isaac Jesse Midkiff gave Sam Houston the horse he rode at San Jacinto.
