Mary Elizabeth was born on November 24th, 1867 in , Dickson, Tennessee. Mary Elizabeth's father was Benjamin Tidwell MCCASLIN and her mother was Martha E. NICKS. Her paternal grandparents were John A. MCCASLIN and Elizabeth TIDWELL; her maternal grandparents are Barton Warren Stone NICKS and America Agnes MCGRAW. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Lilburn Franklin, William Henry, Rufus Newton, Enoch Absalom, Barton Warren Stone, John Thomas, Benjamin Lafayette, Florence Eudora, Mattie and Ethel. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 97 on June 1st, 1965. She was buried in June 1965 in , Dickson, Tennessee.General Notes
