Lilburn Franklin was born on November 13th, 1869 in , Dickson, Tennessee. Lilburn Franklin's father was Benjamin Tidwell MCCASLIN and his mother was Martha E. NICKS. His paternal grandparents were John A. MCCASLIN and Elizabeth TIDWELL; his maternal grandparents are Barton Warren Stone NICKS and America Agnes MCGRAW. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William Henry, Rufus Newton, Enoch Absalom, Barton Warren Stone, John Thomas, Benjamin Lafayette, Mary Elizabeth, Florence Eudora, Mattie and Ethel. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 83 on March 15th, 1953. He was buried in March 1953 in , Dickson, Tennessee.General Notes
