Benjamin Lafayette was born on August 8th, 1886 in , Dickson, Tennessee. Benjamin Lafayette's father was Benjamin Tidwell MCCASLIN and his mother was Martha E. NICKS. His paternal grandparents were John A. MCCASLIN and Elizabeth TIDWELL; his maternal grandparents are Barton Warren Stone NICKS and America Agnes MCGRAW. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Lilburn Franklin, William Henry, Rufus Newton, Enoch Absalom, Barton Warren Stone, John Thomas, Mary Elizabeth, Florence Eudora, Mattie and Ethel. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 58 on January 20th, 1945. He was buried in January 1945 in , Dickson, Tennessee.General Notes
