Thomas Despenser 
Thomas was born about 1159 in Elington, Lincolnshire, England.1 Thomas' father was Thurston Despencer and his mother was Lucia. His paternal grandparents were William Talvas Montgomery and Alice Helia Countess of Burgundy. He had four brothers named Walter, Almaric, Hugh and Galfridus (Geoffrey) Le. I have the same death date for Thomas as Burke's Peerage indicates his eldest son (also Thomas) had when he died without issue. His eldest son was "feudal Lord of Arnesby, Leics", which may be because his father was also of Arnesby, or he did it all on his own.
