Adam was born about 1173 in of Heleigh Castle, Audley, Staffordshire, England.1 Adam's father was Adam De Alditheley and his mother was Emma Fitzorm. His paternal grandfather was Sheriff Of Cheshire De Alditheley Liulf; his maternal grandparents were Ralph FitzOrm and Lettice de Montgomery. He had four brothers and a sister, named Henry, William, James, Lucas and Isabella. He was the oldest of the six children. He died about 1212.1 General Notes
