Her paternal grandparents were Stephen II Henry of Blois and Adela Alice Princess England; her maternal grandparents were Engelbert II von Carinthia and Uta von Passau. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry I the Liberal of, Thibaut V, Etienne Ier, Marie Countess Of, Elisabeth and Agnès. She was the oldest of the seven children.
