George Washington Sloan 
George Washington was born on June 7th, 1841 in Crawford County,Indiana. George Washington's father was James Guy Sloan and his mother was Marthena Sands. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Sloan and Rebecca Guy; his maternal grandparents were Robert Sands and Zipora Sawyer. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Willshire, Milson Hartland, Harrison Tyler, Zipporah, Elvira, Rebecca and Mary. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 65 in 1906.-
