James Guy Sloan 
James Guy was born on February 20th, 1800 in North Carolina. James Guy's father was Archibald Sloan and his mother was Rebecca Guy. His paternal grandparents were John Sloan and Mary Greene; his maternal grandparents were James Guy and Isabelle Wasson. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John M., Alfred, Jeremiah Xenophen, Clarissa, Miranda, Dorinda, Mary Green, Margarite and Elvira. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Benjamin Neal and Rebecca. He died at the age of 78 in 1878 in English,Crawford County,Indiana.General Notes
He was elected to the Legislature in 1840 from Crawford County, Indiana by the whig ticket. He was in Company F Indiana 49th Infantry in Civil War. The log house he built in 1820 grew into a fam house. That house now is 525 Main St. English, Indiana. It has been occupied by a Sloan descendant all these years.

Zipporah Sloan
Zipporah was born in 1827 in Crawford County,Indiana. She died at the age of 20 in 1847.
Rebecca Sloan
Rebecca was born in 1831 in Crawford County,Indiana. She died at the age of 40 in 1871.
Milson Hartland Sloan
Milson Hartland was born in 1834 in Crawford County,Indiana. He died at the age of 75 in 1909. He was buried in Marengo Cemetery,Marengo,Indiana.
Harrison Tyler Sloan
Harrison Tyler was born in 1839 in Crawford County,Indiana. He died at the age of 43 in 1882.
George Washington Sloan
George Washington was born on June 7th, 1841 in Crawford County,Indiana. He died at the age of 65 in 1906.
