Elvira Sloan 
Elvira was born in 1830 in Crawford County,Indiana. Elvira's father was James Guy Sloan and her mother was Marthena Sands. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Sloan and Rebecca Guy; her maternal grandparents were Robert Sands and Zipora Sawyer. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William Willshire, Milson Hartland, Harrison Tyler, George Washington, Zipporah, Rebecca and Mary. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 89 in 1919.-
