Reubin was born about 1773 in Tyrrell (now Martin) Co., North Carolina. Reubin's father was Marcom Manning and his mother was Keziah Ballentine. His paternal grandparents were John Manning and Ann Deal; his maternal grandparents were William Ballentine and Judy Spivey. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Marcom, William, Nance, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Rebecca, Dinah and Keziah. He died in 1832 in Martin Co., North Carolina.-
