David Bird Hudson 
David Bird was born on December 6th, 1762 in Prince Edward County, VA. David Bird's father was Charles Hudson and his mother was Susannah "Susan" Patrick. His paternal grandparents were John Hudson and Elizabeth L. Harris; his maternal grandfather was Daniel Patrick. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Charles, William, Rebecca, Lucy, Eliza, Sarah, Permelia and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 on January 9th, 1839 in Heard County, Georgia. He was buried in Methodist Church Cemetery, Eupper, Elbert County, Gerogia.General Notes

In 1827 David Hudson received a land allotment as a Revolut

soldier. He entered the service in 1779, when he was sixtee
n years old,
as a substitute for his brother(?) Charles; but in the sam
e year enlisted
at Ninety Six, South Carolina. He was in the service for si
x months
