Charles was born in 1758 in Prince Edward County, VA. Charles' father was Charles Hudson and his mother was Susannah "Susan" Patrick. His paternal grandparents were John Hudson and Elizabeth L. Harris; his maternal grandfather was Daniel Patrick. He had two brothers and six sisters, named David Bird, William, Rebecca, Lucy, Eliza, Sarah, Permelia and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 45 in 1803 in Elbert County, GA.General Notes
