Martha Gray was born on March 22nd, 1857.  Martha Gray's father was Gray Lemon Hargrove and her mother was Martha Ann Foxhall.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land; her maternal grandparents were Robert Foxhall and Martha Ann (Patsy) Unknown. She had two brothers and a sister, named Robert Henry, John David and William Ann.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Alphons "Alva" Gray, Edwin Thomas, Willie Franklin, Charles Bardwood, Peyton Clifford, Joseph Marion, Lucy Ella, Sallie Capitola, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Geraldine and Hattie Idora.  She died at 3 months old in June 1857.
