John David Hargrove 
John David was born on March 24th, 1856 in Edgecombe Co. NC. John David's father was Gray Lemon Hargrove and his mother was Martha Ann Foxhall. His paternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land; his maternal grandparents were Robert Foxhall and Martha Ann (Patsy) Unknown. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert Henry, William Ann and Martha Gray. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Alphons "Alva" Gray, Edwin Thomas, Willie Franklin, Charles Bardwood, Peyton Clifford, Joseph Marion, Lucy Ella, Sallie Capitola, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Geraldine and Hattie Idora. He died at the age of 75 on February 23rd, 1932 in Edgecombe Co. NC.-
