Alphons "Alva" Gray Hargrove 
Alphons "Alva" Gray was born on December 28th, 1859. Alphons "Alva" Gray's father was Gray Lemon Hargrove and his mother was Felicia Little. His paternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land; his maternal grandparents were Frederick Dinkins Little and Harriett R. Knight. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Edwin Thomas, Willie Franklin, Charles Bardwood, Peyton Clifford, Joseph Marion, Lucy Ella, Sallie Capitola, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Geraldine and Hattie Idora. He was the oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert Henry, John David, William Ann and Martha Gray. He died at the age of 53 in 1912.General Notes
