Margaret was born about 1341 in Tunbridge,Stffrd.,Eng..1 Margaret's father was Ralph DE STAFFORD 1st Earl of Stafford and her mother was Margaret de Audley Baroness Audley. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund DE STAFFORD 1st Lord Stafford and Margaret Basset; her maternal grandparents were Hugh DE AUDLEY 8th Earl of Gloucester and Margaret de Clare. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Hugh, Elizabeth, Joan, Beatrice and Catherine. She was the second youngest of the seven children.
