Ralph was born on September 24th, 1301 in Tunbridge,Stafford,England.1 Ralph's father was Edmund DE STAFFORD 1st Lord Stafford and his mother was Margaret Basset. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas DE STAFFORD and Eleanor De Langley; his maternal grandfather was Ralph Basset 2nd Lord Basset of Drayton, Staffordshire. He was an only child.
