Hugh II Count of Ponthieu was born in 0990.  Hugh II Count of Ponthieu's father was Enguerrand I (Engelram) Count of Ponthieu and his mother was Adele Countess of Ghent.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh I Seigneur de Abbeville de Montreuil and Gisele Princess of France; his maternal grandparents were Arnulf Count of Holland and Luitgarde of Luxembourg. He had a sister named Helissende , Cts of St. Pol. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Eustace I and Maude.  He died at the age of 62 on November 20th, 1052.  He was buried in St. Riquier.1 1
