Hedwige was born about 0921 in Saxony,Germany.  Hedwige's father was Henry I "The Fowler" King of Germany and her mother was Countess Matilda Ringelheim Queen of the Germans.  Her paternal grandparents were Otto "The Illustrious" Duke of Saxony and Hedwige Friuli duchess Saxony; her maternal grandparents were Theodoric Ringelheim Count of and Ludmilla Ragnhildis Countess Of Ringelheim. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Heinrich I Count of, Henry I, Henrich II (I) Duke of (Bavaria), Bruno I, Archbishop of, Otto I "The Great" of, Otto I, Daughter of Henry I of, Gerberga of, Hedwig or Hartwige and Saxony. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Thangmar, Sachsen and (?) von.  She died in Aix-La-Chapelle.  She was buried in ,,,France.1 


Hedwige's first family with Hugues Magnus Duc de France Count of Paris

‌Hedwige and Hugues Magnus Duc de were married in a religious ceremony in 0938 in Mainz Oder,Ingelheim,Rhineland,Germany.2   They had four sons and two daughters, named Hugues "Capet" King of, Otto Eudes Duke of, Henri I Duke Of, William I Count of, Beatrice Princess Of and Emma Princess of.
