Married circa 855: Teutberge de Valois, daughter of

court of Rome, and an excommunication by the Church, for
which he had to beg the pardon of the Pope. Upon the death
of his brother, Charles de Provence in 863, Lothar II would
get the center of Charles' Kingdom (since Charles had no
son). Divorced Teutberge de Valois): in 862. Married
on 25 Dec 862: Waldrade d'Alsace; Waldrade was
Lothaire's concubine long before he married her after his
first wife died. Died: on 8 Aug 869 in Piacenza, Italy,
Having no sons upon his death, Lothar II's lands reverted to
his sole surviving brother Louis II.
