Clementia de was born in 1089 in <,Bar-le-Duc,Meuse,France>.1   Clementia de's father was Thierry II De Montbelliard Comte de Bar-le-Duc and her mother was Ermentrude of Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were Louis II of Montbelliard and Sophia Countess of Bar-le-Duc; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume I "The Great" of Bourgogne Count/Bourgogne and Stephanie (Etienette) of Barcelona. She had ten brothers and seven sisters, named Renaud I Count of, Thierry III de, Renaud I, Louis de, Frederic, Count Friedrich I of, Guillaume de, Etienne, Count Reinald I of, Bishop Stephan of, Princess Gunhild of, Mathilde, Marguerite De Montbelliard, Mechtild de, Agnes De, Gunthilde and Princess Irmtrud of.  She was the fifth youngest of the eighteen children. She had a half-brother named Count Ludwig of.  She died at the age of 63 in 1152.1
