Gerberge De was born about 0977 in Lower,Lorraine,France.1   Gerberge De's father was Charles I le Gros, Duke of Lower Lorraine and her mother was Bonne Adelaide de Lorraine.  Her paternal grandparents were Louis IV "Transmarinus" King Of France and Gerberga of Saxony Abbess of Notre Dame; her maternal grandparents were Gottfried "The Old" Count of Verdun and Matilda Billung of Saxony. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Othon , Duke of Lower Lorraine, Duke Alto of, Eudes, Duc de, Duke Karl of, Duke Ludwig of, Charles Prince of, Gerberga (Gerbega) of, Ermengarde of and Ermengarde (Adélaïde) de. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Ludwig Count Of and Ermengarde (Adelaide) Princess.  She died about 1016.1

‌Gerberge De and Lambert I "le Barbu" were married in a religious ceremony about 0994.2   They had two sons and three daughters, named Lambert II "Baudry", Eustache I de, Mathilde de, Mahaut and Landrade de.
