Ermengarde (Adélaïde) de's father was Charles I le Gros, Duke of Lower Lorraine and her mother was Bonne Adelaide de Lorraine.  Her paternal grandparents were Louis IV "Transmarinus" King Of France and Gerberga of Saxony Abbess of Notre Dame; her maternal grandparents were Gottfried "The Old" Count of Verdun and Matilda Billung of Saxony. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Othon , Duke of Lower Lorraine, Duke Alto of, Eudes, Duc de, Duke Karl of, Duke Ludwig of, Charles Prince of, Gerberga (Gerbega) of, Gerberge De and Ermengarde of. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Ludwig Count Of and Ermengarde (Adelaide) Princess.  She died in 1019.
