Richard FitzAlan Earl of Arundel 
Richard was born on February 3rd, 1267 in Arundel,Sussex,England.1 Richard's father was John FitzAlan Lord of Clun, 7th Earl of Arundel and his mother was Isabella Mortimer. His paternal grandparents were John FitzAlan 6th Earl of Arundel and Maud le Boteler; his maternal grandparents were Lord Roger de Mortimer Lord of Wigmore and Matilda De Braose. He had two sisters named Maud and Eleanor. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 35 on March 9th, 1302.1 General Notes
Richard Fitz Alan 8th/1st Earl of Arundel and/or possibly 1st Earl of Sussex, so created 1289, though this may simply be an alternative name for the Earldom of Arundel; served against Welsh and Scots and in Gascony; married by 1285 Alasia, daughter of Tommaso I, Marquis of Saluzzo (Piedmont), and died 9 March 1301/2.
