Piers was born in Brecknock,Wales. Piers' father was Herbert II Fitzherbert and his mother was Lucy of , Lady of Blaen Llyfni Hereford. His paternal grandparents were Herbert Fitzherbert and Sybil Corbet; his maternal grandparents were Miles de Pîtres of , Earl of Hereford Gloucester and Sybil de Neufmarche [Countess of Her. He had a brother named Earl of Hereford piers (peter) fitz herbert. He died on June 1st, 1235.General Notes
