Thomas Edmund was born on July 2nd, 1880 in Raif Branch, Montgomery Co., AL.1 Thomas Edmund's father was Lewis Whatley and his mother was Mary Caroline Rushing. His maternal grandparents were Thomas J. Rushing and Mary Anne Huffman. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Barnard Earl, Olin, Louis, Mary Alice, Ruth, Lucy, Ethel and Loura. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on January 7th, 1964 in Byrd, Ellis Co., TX. He was buried in Grady Cemetery, Ellis Co., TX.1 1 General Notes

Hodge after 1921. They had no children.
