Louis Whatley 
Louis was born on October 23rd, 1896 in Byrd, Ellis Co., TX.1 Louis' father was Lewis Whatley and his mother was Mary Caroline Rushing. His maternal grandparents were Thomas J. Rushing and Mary Anne Huffman. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Edmund, Barnard Earl, Olin, Mary Alice, Ruth, Lucy, Ethel and Loura. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on February 14th, 1980 in TX. He was buried in Grady Cemetery, Ellis Co., TX.1 1 General Notes
