Lovda L. was born in 1882 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Lovda L.'s father was Carney C. Thomas and her mother was Elizabeth F. Ammons. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Thomas and Jane (?). She had two brothers and three sisters, named Curtis W., Lewis H., Almeda K., Olivia H. and Terzie. She died at the age of 35 in 1917 in Union Parish, LA. She was buried in Mt. Nebo Methodist Ch. A telegram reached Rockford early this week announcing that Mrs. Eps
Bridges was in a dying condition at the family home in Louisiana."(1)

Her enfant son is buried near her. He died Aug 12, 1913 at birth. This
was Nolan Bridges twin. This information given to me, Ronald D. Bridges,
by Alvin Kerney Bridges on 5 May 1997 via the phone.
Lovda L. and James Eppes were married in a religious ceremony before 1909 in Coosa Co., AL.1 They had two sons and a daughter, named Alvin Kirney, Nolan Douglas and Infant.
