Curtis W. was born on November 17th, 1858 in Coosa Co., AL.1   Curtis W.'s father was Carney C. Thomas and his mother was Elizabeth F. Ammons.  His paternal grandparents were Stephen Thomas and Jane (?). He had a brother and four sisters, named Lewis H., Almeda K., Olivia H., Lovda L. and Terzie.  He died at the age of 28 on February 25th, 1887 in Coosa Co., AL.  He was buried in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL..1 1
