Lewis H. was born on April 26th, 1871 in Coosa Co., AL.1   Lewis H.'s father was Carney C. Thomas and his mother was Elizabeth F. Ammons.  His paternal grandparents were Stephen Thomas and Jane (?). He had a brother and four sisters, named Curtis W., Almeda K., Olivia H., Lovda L. and Terzie.  He died at the age of 23 on November 1st, 1894 in Coosa Co., AL.  He was buried in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL..1 1
