Robert Jerome was born on January 30th, 1921 in ?.1 Robert Jerome's father was Henry Addison Teel and his mother was Beunie Lee Rudd. His paternal grandparents were Richard Columbus Teel and Amanda Belle Darden. He had a brother and a sister, named Harry R. and Living. He died at the age of 74 on November 11th, 1995 in ?. "Robert Jerome Teel, of Rockford, was born January 30, 1921, son of Henry
Addison and Benunnie Lee (Rudd) Teel; grandson of Richard C. and Amanda
Bell (Darden) Teel of Hanover, and of Mac Curtis and Maggie Miller Rudd
of Enterprise and Panama City. Representative Teel was educated in the
public schools at Rockford, at Howard College and University of Alabama
where he received his B. A. degree in 1946 and his and his LL.B degree in
1948. From 1943 to 1946 he served in the U. S. Army. Since 1949 he has
practiced law in Rockford and has served as Mayor of Rockford 1960-63. He
began his first term in the House of Representatives in 1963. He is a
Democrat, a Baptist, and a Mason.
Married: July 25, 1941, at Rockford, Mary George, daughter of Frank
Massengale and Stella (Carlton) Selman of Rockford. Children: 1. Robert
J. Jr.; 2. Frank S.; 3. Geroge W.; 4 Carlton L. Married second: Ruth
Hammonds Neighbors. He died Nov. 11, 1995 and is buried at Rockford
