Robert Lee was born on January 28th, 1887 in Gardner, Milam Co., TX.1 Robert Lee's father was Bryant Eugene Spradley and his mother was Emmaline Todd. His paternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne; his maternal grandparents were Willoughby Eugene Todd and Eliza Elizabeth Bogan. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Willoughby Eugene, George Wesley, James Raby, John Ernest, Chester Dee, Amelia Ann and Anna Lou. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Augustave Davis. He died at the age of 90 on January 16th, 1978 in Odem, San Patricio, TX. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.1 1 General Notes
